LEGACY SAN JOSE ALVISO YOUTH FOUNDATION
GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES, PRIORITIES & PROCEDURES
Guidelines
Grants are made to nonprofit organizations that provide their programs and services without distinction as to race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, or sexual orientation of participating children and youth.
- Grants are geographically limited to benefit youth of Alviso/San Jose, the attendance area of George Mayne Elementary School.
- Requestors should complete a Grant Application Form.
- Applications are received twice annually in Spring and Winter.
- Receipt of applications will be acknowledged.
- The Board meets two times a year to make funding decisions (Spring & Winter).
- Grants are made for a twelve month period. Multi-year grants are not made, but requests for renewal are welcome at the completion of the 12 month cycle.
- A grant report must be submitted at the end of each twelve month cycle.
Procedures
All grant requests must be submitted in writing, using the Application for Grant Form.
A program budget should be included, as well as an IRS Determination Letter, if your organization is a Section 501 (c) (3) organization. Information can be requested and received via contactus@legacyalvisoyouth.org.
All Applications and Supporting Documentation can be submitted via Standard Mail or online via this website.
